Rudolph the hmm hmmmm hmmm hmmmm

Annyong! Lindsay here again.
I wanted to share with you what I have shared with my students this week. I found this gem on You Tube last Sunday when I was doing lesson plans, desperate for a good song with a visual for my first graders. They need visuals!
And I found this and was brought back to a time when Christmas was about Santa, presents, church hymns, and eating popcorn in front of our fire and live Christmas tree back on Pine Marr Drive, the house that holds the most of my childhood memories. (And apparently still holds strong in Mom’s mind, as she wrote that return address on the last package she sent, having to cross it out and replace it with the newer one.)
I wasn’t sure if the kids would like this movie clip as much as I did. The color is bad. The reindeer are a little strange. Nothing like today’s animation. But it proved itself again. It’s timeless. A classic. Even the first graders who couldn’t read the words I printed out hummed along with it, trying to match the sounds with big eyes on the screen and laughing, “Silly Reindeer!”
