Lindsay of Green Gardens

OK, real quick, because I’m ready to get in bed.

Lindsay here.

We had a great day off from school today (why doesn’t America get off for elections? Might help voter turnout. Might not, but what a way to celebrate democracy!)

Anyway, we woke up to pouring rain and gusting wind. Whit wanted to stay at home. Not me, not this time. I wanted to see the famed green tea fields of nearby Boseong, rain or shine.

Plus, the green is always greener in the rain.

So we went to the small town just an hour and a half away with our friends Angie and Sarah and had a great day. It was a wet and rainy and windy day that led to the death of our favorite umbrella.

But we saw the beautiful dark green terraced rows of green tea leaves, ate green tea bibimbop (awesome), sucked down some green tea ice cream (even awesomer) and even hitch-hiked (don’t ask..but it was right after the death of an umbrella). I am totally in a green tea kick lately. You would be too if you’ve tasted and seen what I’ve tasted and seen.

Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Now, off to try to forget I have to go to school tomorrow.

As usual, I have several comments. First, I love the reference to Anne of Green Gables, still after all these years my favorite character. Second, is that a photo of a cherry tree? I think they are so lovely in the spring, and seeing as how we’re still getting frosts and have no leaves on the trees, I’m very jealous. Third, JP made me Google that thing you talked about yesterday…yuck, and even worse than dried octopus. How invasive!!

  2. Emily says:

I just love this. Don’t know why, but I really, really do. I think I’ll make myself a cuppa tea. Green tea.

  3. Brittany says:

I am with Em, I am going to make myself a spot of green tea. I sure wish I had that beautiful landscape to look at while sipping my tea. The pictures are gorgeous. Not that your pictorials ever struggled but I see improvement with every post! These pics are phenomenal.

  4. Jimmy says:

    Looks like some awesome scenery!
