Korea, Then and Now

I came across some old photos of Korea on a fellow foreigner’s Facebook page this week and was amazed by how much Korea has changed in the last 100 years. The photos, taken by Christian missionaries between 1908 and 1920, offer a glance of a totally different life on this small peninsula.
Sure, America has changed by heaps in the last hundred, as well. But as you can see, there are stark, stark differences between the thatch-roofed huts of early 20th century Korea and the bland concrete conurbation it has become.

Check it out for yourself.
