Teacher. Game!

I knew I looked rough this morning when Whit turned to me 10 minutes before our first class started and said, “You look like I feel.”

And that’s how our first week back is going. It’s easy, don’t get me wrong. I love saying sit down approximately 1,000 times in the course of 8 hours. I adore it when students talk over me. And I really love it when they complain about doing work—gasp!!–instead of playing hangman.

No really it’s not that bad. But I sure am looking forward to the weekend.

In other news, I’ve recently had my first paid travel writing essay published on Go Galavanting, an online travel magazine for women. If you’re interested in a more in depth and personal look at my first experience at going to Korea’s public bath, read it here: www.gogalavanting.com and click on my story.

In case you don’t hear it enough – you are a fantastic writer! I really enjoyed reading your article on galavanting.com. I canNOT imagine the whole public bath experience. Anyway, just thought you’d like some words of encouragement of your phenomenal writing (not that you need it!)

What a great article! You girls must be born writers…. photographers with your words as well as with your cameras. What fantastic mental images you leave us! Either you were born with the ability or those professors at Ole Miss really do a nice job training. (or maybe a combination of both). I admire all your talent. Keep up the good work.Sherry V.

  3. Thanks Sherry and Becca!
