Whit and I spent the weekend in Seoul for one of the city’s biggest street celebrations–Buddha’s birthday. The actual holiday isn’t until this coming Saturday, but the city celebrated it last weekend with a street festival and parade.
We missed it last year so I couldn’t wait to get up there and wear my camera out. Which I did, of course.
The final parade was Sunday night at 7 or 8 p.m. so we didn’t get back to Gwangju until 2 a.m. this morning, which made for a rough Monday.
But all in all, it was a wonderful weekend of vibrant colors, warm culture, and smiling people.
Here are a few of the pictures. And, as usual, there is a gallery with more to your right!
