I make no secret about my love for Park Chan Ho and his facial hair, but let’s not forget about Indians’ slugger and Busan native Shin-Soo Choo who was recently voted by the Cleveland chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America as the Indians’ Man of the Year
Choo batted .300, hit 20 homeruns, had 86 RBI and 21 steals. Not bad at all. Also, Choo was the first Asian
to get 20 homeruns and 20 steals in a season. Choo didn’t have the best WBC but did hit some big homeruns when it counted. Including one in the 1st inning against Venezuela in the fifth inning against Japan in the finals.
Choo is helping give Korean baseball players the good reputation they deserve. Congratulations Choo Shin Soo!
