According to the Korea Times, Yonhap News Agency reported today that Korean heartthrob Lee Min Ho is returning to MBC as the male lead in a new drama called “Personal Taste.” It will be Lee’s second major role since he came on the acting scene as Gu Jun Pyo in the MBC drama that took Korea by storm, “Boys Over Flowers.”
The 22-yr old actor said of his return, “I’ve waited long enough to mature as an actor. I promise to become a more experienced actor for my fans.”
Lee will play the character Jun Jin-ho a guy who pretends to be gay in order to become roommates with a girl he likes. This female love interest, who has yet to be cast, apparently only make friends with gay guys.
Because homosexuality in Korea is rarely discussed, the impact of this show and the way in which they write Lee’s character will make it very interesting.
