Annyong, Lindsay here.
Last week was Chuseok, and one of those years where the holiday neatly fell in the middle of the week to give us optimum time off work.
My best friend Brittany came for her first Korean visit to spend the week with us. It was great fun, and always nice to see Korea through the eyes of a newbie again.
“What’s that smell?” “Why is my taxi driver wearing only one glove?” “You mean I have to be aggressive if I actually want to get on the bus/subway?”
It’s always fun to see Korea through new eyes again. It seems in three years we have completely adopted to a Korean way of life. We forgot that Korea even has strange smells and that everyone in the world doesn’t deal with a perpetual lack of toilet paper or what to do to avoid getting the hem of your pants dirty while using an Asian squatty potty.
My friend and I are both pregnant, so it was double the fun as we traveled around Korea and had one adventure after another.
Here are a few pictures of the week.
